Tattoo FAQs
-
Yes! We are usually able to accommodate walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis. However, we may suggest making an appointment for tattoos that are very large, require additional prep time, or are in a more specialized style. You are always welcome to call us or come by the shop, and we’ll do our best to get you in as soon as possible.
-
You can schedule a consultation by phone, email, or visiting us in the shop.
-
The best way to book an appointment is by completing our online appointment request form. This ensures we have all the information we need to match you with the right artist, estimate the time needed for your appointment, and provide an accurate price quote.
Alternatively, you can always stop by the shop to speak to our artists in person, or contact your artist directly.
-
Yes, a non-refundable deposit is required for all tattoo appointments. Deposits are $100, unless otherwise specified, and will go towards the final cost of your tattoo. Learn more about leaving a deposit here.
-
Please call the shop as soon as possible to notify us of this change. We require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment in order to retain your deposit, and only one reschedule is allowed per deposit. If you need to reschedule more than once, you may be asked to pay an additional deposit.
Of course, we understand that emergencies happen, so please don't hesitate to reach out, and we'll do our best to accommodate you based on your schedule and our artist's availability.
-
According to New York State law, you MUST be at least 18 years old to get a tattoo, regardless of parental consent. Valid ID is required.
-
Tattoo pricing starts at $120. However, pricing depends on a number of factors, including size, placement, style, color, level of detail, etc. In order to give you the most accurate price quote for a specific project, we recommend submitting our online appointment request form or speaking with one of our artists.
-
Before your appointment, be sure to get a good night's sleep, eat a solid meal (not just a snack), and stay hydrated. Dress comfortably, keeping in mind that certain areas will need to be accessible depending on the placement of your tattoo.
Arrive for your tattoo appointment on time, with valid ID, and feel free to bring a snack, drink, headphones, or anything else that may make you more comfortable.
Please note that if you have sunburn or a fresh wound in the area where the tattoo will be going, we might need to switch the placement or reschedule until the area is healed.
If you arrive hungover or intoxicated in any way, we will cancel your appointment and your deposit will be forfeited.

Yes, but only one person will be allowed to sit with you during your session. Any additional guests will be asked to wait in the lobby. Children are welcome, but please keep in mind that our shop is an adult environment with mature-themed art, language, and music. Parents are responsible for ensuring their children are well-behaved for everyone's safety and comfort.

Our shop has an open floor plan, but we can provide privacy barriers by request.

Our artists work hard to deliver exceptional service. Tips are not required or expected, but always appreciated.

Generally, we recommend cleaning your new tattoo twice a day with liquid antibacterial soap. Let it air dry or use a new paper towel to gently pat it dry, then apply a very thin layer of unscented lotion. Avoid submerging your tattoo in water (so no swimming, saunas, baths, or pools). However, running water (like a shower) is okay. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, including tanning beds. Do not let your fresh tattoo come into direct contact with anything that could be considered dirty. Do not scratch, pick, or peel off bits of the tattooed skin. Allow the flakes to fall off on their own.
Individual tattoo care may vary slightly depending on the bandage you and your artist decide to use. Your artist will explain the details and provide you with an aftercare information sheet.
If you ever have any questions about caring for your tattoo, or if you're concerned about the healing process, please reach out to us asap and we'd be happy to provide additional guidance.

Yes, we offer free touch ups on our own work at our artists’ discretion.
Please give your tattoo at least six weeks to heal before inquiring about a touch up. Touch ups must be scheduled with your artist in person so they can inspect your tattoo and see how it healed.
Hand/knuckle/feet tattoos or tattoos that are more than 2 years old may require an additional session fee.
